1. The Table Name and Stakes Box
On the upper left hand corner of the screen you will find the name of the table and its Stakes.
2. The Winning Hand Message Box
At the end of each hand, you will notice that a brown message bar will emerge, from the bottom center of the screen, indicating the name of the player that won the last hand, what cards they had and the amount of the Pot.
3. Chatting with Other Members
Pacific Poker allows you to chat with others while playing at the same table -- sharing the gaming experience, fun and excitement. To use the Chat feature, click on the "Chat" Button, on the lower right corner of the screen.
The Chat Box will appear on your screen. Type in your text and press "Enter".
Please Note: The other players will only see your Chat messages if their Chat Box is open, or if they choose to open their Chat Box upon seeing the blinking Chat icon. To close the Chat Box simply press the "Chat" button again, or press on the "X" in the upper right hand corner of the Chat Box.
4. Disabling Chat
Poker Table Chat can be both entertaining and informative, but at Pacific Poker we want you to be able to pick and choose just who you would like to converse with. If you do not wish to communicate with any particular Member, simply right click on that player's seat. An option box will open. Click on "Disable Chat". You will no longer see Chat Messages from that Member.
5. Player Notes Feature
Pacific Poker's Player Notes feature allows you to keep your observations of other Members' behaviors and playing styles in a convenient, easy to access place - right on your Pacific Poker "Desktop". When seated at a table, just right click on the Member that you wish to keep notes on, and then click on the "Write Notes" option.
6. View Lobby & Leave Table Buttons
In the lower right corner of the screen you will find two buttons. These buttons allow you to either view the Main Pacific Poker Lobby or to leave the Poker table.
7. Viewing Other Players at the Table
On the occupied seats, you will find each player's Username and the total amount of chips that they currently have available at the table. These boxes light up when it is the player's turn to act. After the player acts, what they chose to do is displayed. If the player is Sitting Out of the hand, it will also be indicated here.
8.The Settings Button
In the lower right corner of the screen you will find the Settings button. This feature allows you to customize your game view, sounds and alerts. Here you can also enable the Ghost Card feature.
9. The Sit Down Button
On each vacant seat you will see a "Sit Down" Button. Click this button to take a seat on that chair. For more information on How to Join a Table, please see the Getting Started section of this site.
10. Viewing the Cards and Chips
On the table, in front of each active player, you will see their personal cards (either face up or face down, depending on the Poker version being played at that table), and the stack of chips that they have wagered, so far, in the current Betting Round. In order to see the exact value of the chips, move your cursor over the stack; the value will be displayed.
11. The Dealer Button
The player with the Dealer Button in front of them indicates that they are acting as the Dealer in the current hand.
12. In the Center of the Table
In the center of the table you will find the Community Boardcards, if necessary (depending on the Poker variation being played at the table). The amount currently in the Pot, if any, is also displayed here.
13. The Pre-Play Automation Boxes
The Pre-Play Automation Boxes appear on the lower left of the screen. Checking any of these boxes, before the next hand begins, will result in your indicated action choice being made automatically for you, when your next turn comes around:
- Checking "Auto Post Blind" will automatically place the Small Blind or Big Blind bets for you, if necessary.
- Checking "Sit Out Next Hand" will automatically remove you from the next hand, but not from the table.
- Checking "Auto Muck Losing Hands" will prevent other players from seeing your hand in the Showdown, if there are higher ranked hands already showing, unless you are the winner.
- If a player wins a hand by virtue of being the only remaining active player, that player's hand will be automatically Mucked by default. If the player clicks the "Show Hand" button, the winning hand will be shown to the other players.
14. The Game Play Buttons
The green Game Play Buttons are located in the lower center of the screen. The buttons made available will vary, depending on the game situation and your possible options. These buttons are marked: "Fold", "Check" or "Call" and "Bet" or "Raise". When it is your turn to act, click on the button indicating your desired action.
15. The Game Play Automation Boxes
Before it is your turn to act, you will be offered Game Play Automation Boxes, providing you with the same options as the gold Game Play Buttons. Checking any of the Game Play Automation Boxes will result in your indicated action choice being made automatically for you, when your next turn comes around.
16. Your Poker Hand's Rank
In the lower right corner of the screen, you will find a message, informing you of your current Poker hand's highest rank (see Poker Hand Ranking Chart). Hopefully, this message will indicate that you have 3 of a Kind, a Full House or even a Royal Flush, by the time the Showdown arrives. Good Luck!
17. Keyboard Controls
For our Members that prefer playing utilizing Keyboard Controls, see below for a list of currently available keystroke controls:
- Fold - F5
- Call/Check - F6
- Bet - F7
- Raise - F8
- Move the Bet Slider - ←/→ arrow
18. Ghost Card Feature
This feature allows you to see your cards after you have folded from a Ring Game or Tournament so that you can evaluate your moves. Instead of the dealer collecting your hand when you fold, your cards will remain on the table for the duration of the game and only you will be able to see them. The Ghost Card feature is available at Texas Hold'em, Omaha Hi and Omaha Hi/Lo Ring Games and Texas Hold'em Tournaments. A minimum of two active players must be seated. You can enable the Ghost Card feature in the Settings by checking the "Show Ghost Cards" box.
Enjoy the tables and Good Luck
